The HackSummit New York is just around the corner. It’s time to get ready by booking your accommodation and finalizing your travel plans.
Here’s our handy guide to give you a headstart.

Newlab is part of the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
After entering the Navy Yard, walk to the Newlab main entrance on 6th Street and Morris Avenue Building 128 and ring the bell to be let into the building.
🚢 The Fastest/Cheapest Way from Manhattan: Ferry
Take the Astoria line stops at Yard’s Dock 72.
There is a direct connection between Pier 11 / Wall St. and or East 34th Street, NY and the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
The ferry runs approximately every 30 minutes and is also the cheapest way to travel.
The boat trip will take 12 minutes and from the port it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Newlab or a 6 min cab ride.

🚕 By Taxi or Uber
A door to door way to travel when outside of rush hour is taking a taxi or Uber, please note to calculate extra travel time during rush hours.

🚌 By Bus
The closest bus stop to Newlab is Flushing Av/Cumberland St. Check the timetable here
MTA Bus Lines
* The B67 bus stops inside the Yard at the Sands Street gate (near Wegmans), on Market Street (across from Building 77 and at the Clymer Street/Kent Ave gate.
* The B57 and B69 stop outside the Yard at Cumberland Street and Flushing Avenue.
* The B62 stops outside the Yard at Vanderbilt & Park Avenues and is a one-block walk to Flushing Avenue.
* The B48 stops outside the Yard at Flushing and Classon Avenues.
🚲 By Bike
The Yard has a bike-friendly environment with bike racks throughout for registered visitors. Citi Bike stations are located both inside and outside of the Yard.
🚗 By Car
We don’t recommend taking the car to Newlab as parking is very limited in the surrounding lot. Parking suggestions can be found here
🚇 By Metro
The Brooklyn Navy Yard is easily accessible by subway. Visitors can take the F, G, A, C, 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, and R lines to reach nearby stations that connect with the free Yard shuttle for employees and registered visitors.

✈️ By Plane
If traveling by plane is the only viable option and you arrive outside of rush hour, a taxi might be the best option to the venue or check the transit by public transportation via google maps or here at the local website.
.JFK Airport: Take either the Jamaica or Howard airtrain followed by the subway to Marcy Avenue MT or High Street, from there you can take a taxi (10 min) or a bus (22min). This should take you about an hour.
.La Guardia Airport: Take a bus or a taxi straight from the terminal. A taxi is scheduled to be the quickest way from this airport to the venue. It should take you 40-50 minutes.
